Harry Watts Academy Celebrate National Non-Speaking/Non-Verbal Awareness Day

Monday 30th September was National Non-Speaking/Non-Verbal Awareness Day. This day raises awareness of the importance of understanding, inclusion, and the need for accessible communication methods for those who cannot speak verbally.

Harry Watts Academy celebrate all forms of communication for pupils throughout the school, including Makaton, symbol use, and communication boards. Check out their video below which displays their use of non-speaking and non-verbal communication!
