Charlotte Wares Appointed as Assistant Headteacher and SENDCo at Harry Watts Academy
Return to Latest NewsProsper Learning Trust are happy to announce the appointment of Charlotte Wares to the position of Assistant Headteacher and SENDCo at Harry Watts Academy. Charlotte was previously Acting Assistant Headteacher and SENDCo at Harry Watts Academy.
Charlotte was born and continues to live in Sunderland. She graduated from Northumbria University with a BA Hons in English Language & Linguistics, before working with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) pupils in a secondary school’s Additional Resourced Provision (ARP). Charlotte has also managed an ASC ARP, has taught in an ASC school in the independent sector, and has been SENDCo at Harry Watts Academy for the past three years.
Speaking on her appointment, Charlotte said: “Taking up the role of Assistant Headteacher and SENDCo at Harry Watts Academy is the most exciting opportunity I’ve ever had. I’m so pleased I get to take on this role at this school, with our amazing staff team and incredible pupils. I believe Harry Watts Academy is only at the start of its journey – eventually we will be able to support children and young people across the North East in a range of settings with varying needs. It's an exciting time for us!”
Louise Hindmarch, Headteacher of Harry Watts Academy, said: "Charlotte has been instrumental in the development of Harry Watts Academy over the past three years and is completely dedicated to improving the outcomes for all pupils across the school. I am thrilled she will be taking up the substantiate role of Assistant Headteacher.”
