Thomas Bewick School's Post-16 Pupils Visit the Central Office to Clean and Recycle
Return to Latest News
Two weeks ago, Class 33 had a special phone call, asking them to bring their cleaning service to the Central Offices. On Tuesday 25th March, they travelled on the minibus and took their cleaning buckets to the offices. Once there, they cleaned windows, tables and shelves. It was lots of fun to go somewhere new and meet new people.
The post-16 pupils also helped to clear the cardboard from the offices. They took this downstairs to recycle it in the suitable bins outside.
This is in good timing for the new Government Guidance that impacts workplace recycling in England from 31st March 2025. The Government are stating that all workplaces in England have a legal duty to present waste separated in accordance with the arrangement with their waste collector.
